Increasingly hard to find, this antique ironstone circular butter slab which was used in the early 20th century for keeping produce cold in grocers stores, is in super condition. We believe it has undertaken minor professional restoration previously (but cannot see where). Its a large slab measuring 41cm diameter , has cut out handles either side for easy handling, and has the MORDUE BROS NEWCASTLE stamp to the underside. A really lovely example.
